FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
DRUIDS' HALF-YEARLY MEETING.
The half-yearly meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids, No. 5, was held last night, when A.D. Dro. L. Pascoe presided over a good attendance of members. A motion of sympathy was accorded Mrs Hawkins in the death of her husband, the late Mr.C. Hawkins, who had been a member of the lodge for 38 years. Six new members wore proposed and two initiated. One member was admitted by transfer, and four transfers were granted. Donations were made to Sir Arthur Pearson memorial fund for the blind and the Plunkefc Nurse Society. Three matornity claims were passed for payment. Nominations of officers for the ensuing six months, to be elected at the liext lodge night, were received as follow: D.P., P.A. Bro, A.
