HON. BOLLARD’S SUPPORT. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 26. • “I hope the dav will come when we will have in New Zealand a Royal Show,’’- said Hon. R. F. Bollard, Minister o! Internal Affairs, in the course pf a speech in appreciation of tho hearty welcome extended to him at a smoke concert held in Carterton in conjunction with _ the Wairarapa Agricultural Show. “One big Royal Show, said Mr Bollard, “would go a long way towards raising the standard of exhibits at small shows. Prizes aro given for certain animals which, if shown at a Royal Show where competitors from all parts of both islands would bo vicing with one another for laurels, would probably not gain those prizes. Prizes would be harder to obtain. That fact would encourage producers of ; stock to roach a higher standard that at present exists at some shows. . A voice: Give us a subsidy. Hon. Bollard: I will be pleased to Aye tfty vote in favour of a Royal Show*,
