Sussmich, president of the Newcastle Technical College,, in pleading for scientific (research work, says chat its need in the . coal industry is costing the Commonwealth £1,000,000 annually owing to unscientific production. Only 50 per cent, of the coal was won from the great northern seams’ borehole at Greta, which represented a dead loss of thousands of millions.—Press Association".
