. MANAWATU AND WANGANUI DRAW. A weak Manawatu representative team journeyed to’ Wanganui on Saturday to meet tho northern hockey representatives. Tho game was contested at a fasti pace, the opening spell being in favour of Manawatu. Two goals were forthcoming from the stick of J. Fitt and the teams crossed over with the visitors leading by two goals to nil. Shortly after recommencement Hostick was compelled to retire and thereafter Wanganui assumed command, they putting bn three foals. A rally by Manawatu enabled [nowles to bring, the scores level and full time found the honours divided. Messrs Lye and Fisher refereed. LADIES’ MATCH. MANAWATU v. SOUTH SECTION; A match was played at Feilding on Saturday between a team of Manawatu lady representatives and one drawn from the southern section of the Feilding • cbmpetitibris. After a keen game, each side emerged with one goal. In the first half the' home team led by one' goal to nil. Miss E. Worsfold being the scorer. The visitors instilled greater vim into their play in the second half and Miss D. Ellis found the nbt from a scramble in front of : the goal.
