ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

A collision occurred at an early hour this morning between a motor cyclist, Mr T. IBye, of Ferguson street, and a cyclist, Mr 11. Hilmer, of Church street. The'motorist was approaching the Square along Main Street West while the cyclist wa3 proceeding in the opposite direction. Both riders swerved to avoid each other with the result that the motor cycle crashed into the other machine. The riders were thrown to the ground, but while Mr Hilmer escaped with minor injuries', Mr Bye was not so fortunate, he suffering several severe contusions. He was, however, able to proceed to his homo.
