TRADE WITH RUSSIA.

BRITISH MISSION STAYS ONLY SIX DAYS. NO PROFIT IN IT. LONDON, Aug. 27. Six days after its arrival in Moscow the British Commercial Mission returned, despairing of the possibility of re-establishing trade relations with the Soviets. The mission included representatives of Baldwin's, Limited, Kenrick and Son, and Crossley Brothers. They were specially invited to meet M. Krassin, Com* missary for Foreign Trade, and were allotted a private railroad car. A villa was also placed at their disposal, staffed with perfectly trained butlers* footmen, and silk-aproued women servants. M. Krassin declared he would grant concessions for the sale of machinery if seven years' credit was given. He offered the right to sue before the Soviet tribunals if the peasants refused to pay. _ ; The mission declined, and immediately returned to Latvia in an ordinary railway car. » A member declared that it would be 50 years before Russian trade would be profitable. Meanwhile, Krupps have received an additional concession for the erection of an aeroplane factory expected to be the largest in the world.
