LIGHTNING DEATHS.

TWO ACTORS KILLED IN STORM. Several Jives have been lost and much damage done by one of the most terrific thunderstorms New York has experienced for many years. The lightning, which throughout was most vivid, killed Bert Savoy, a well-known female impersonator, and Jack Grossman, a music-hall artist, while they were walking at Long Beach. Two other actors were injured. ■ Another man was drowned through his canoe capsizing. Roofs were torn off houses and business buildings, and electric wires # were fusqd, throwing offices and theatres into darkness, The wind at one time attained hurricane force, and after the storm 500 trees were found to have been uprooted in the parks. A brick wall 40ft long was blown down, the debris crashing on to a passing motor-car and killing a woman occupant.
