PALMERSTON NORTH FAVOURED

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 18. At the annual conference of the Couucil of Agriculture, remits were carried empowering the executive to proceed with the formation of A Royal Society, the first show to be held at Palme'rston North, and the second at Christchurch. A donation of £IOO to each was promised by Messrs R. D. McLean and W. D. Hunt, in addition to a similar sum already promised by Sir Walter Buchanan.
