RAIN PROBABLE.
The Government meteorologist telegraphed to-day:—The indications are for northerly winds, moderate to strong, freshening and backing by west to south. Expect cold and' damp weather, and rain is probable. The barometer is unsteady, but will be rising after about 24 hours.
