SLUGGISH RIVER BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly nicotine; of the Sluggish River Drainage Board was held this morning, Mr 11. Murphy presiding. There wore also pi'csonl: Messrs lerguson, Foster, Print and ’Wilton. It was resolved that Mr hosier should wait on Or. Boyce, oi thoManawatu County Council, with reference to the banking of the main drain near Donaldscn’s bridge. Several .settlers are to be requested to remove gorse from the banks oi Lane’s and Bank’s drains running through their properties. The matter of the further cleaning of Railway drain was left in the hands of Messrs* Ferguson and Wilton, with power to act. A deputation consisting of Messrs R. Dixon and J. Lover waited on the Board with reference to raising the fencing of a drain, under the control of the* Board, which passed through their properties.—-It was decided that Messrs Ferguson and Wilton visit the properties, with power to act. dir Wilton offered to defray half the cost of the battens necessary for the raising of the fences. Accounts amounting to £ll4 13s were passed for payment.
