SEVERE EARTHQUAKE.
FOUR THOUSAND DEATHS
DELHI, May 31. The disastrous results of the earthquake at Tarbatihaidri show that six villages in the vicinity of the town were _ destroyed completely. The dead are estimated at 4000. Shocks are still being experienced in tho devastated area. Medical aid has been despatched, but it is feared it would be of little avail. The original disturbance lasted from 11 o’clock on Friday evening till four o’clock on Saturday morning. —A. and N.Z. cable,
