WAIKATO SHOW.

LOCAL FARMER’S IMPRESSIONS.

A resident of the Manawatu district, who is a member of the Palmerston North branch of the Milking Shorthorn Association, gave an interesting account of the Waikato Show, which was held this week at Hamilton, where our informant’s association met in annual conference. “A striking feature of the show,” he remarked, “was the exhibition of root crops which was one of the best 1 have ever seen. A strong section was that devoted to butter and cheese, and experts were .isp'oed that the display was the best they have seen for some time past._ A novel feature was the singing competition, in widen schools from all parts of the district took part. This attraction proved most popular with the public. There was also a fine exhibition of motor cars, ami the show generally was well worth seeing.”
