By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received April‘3, 11:40 a.uf. . SYDNEY, April 3
The Telegraph, describing the Cup race, says: “Going out of the, straight The Cypher was about ninth, but he met trouble in trying to improve his position. Ho was seventh when turning for home, but though finishing in fair style was unable to threaten the leaders.” The Herald says: “The most unlucky horse iu the race, appeared to bo The Cypher, which, notwithstanding being knocked back, sjood up gajlantly and worked its way to fourth place, a wonderful performance in the circumstances. Wood sat patiently on David and coolly moved up on the rails at the right, moment and won with a formidable weight.”—Press Association.
