SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
DAMAGE IN HENDERSON VALLEY (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 23. A thunderstorm in Henderson Valley last night lifted the roof of a large sleeping porch at the residence of Mr R. Carey. The wind carried it over the roof of the house, breaking three chimneys. Some of the debris was carried half a mile away while shelter trees snapped like carrots. Some of the bricks broke through the roof. The damage was about £2OO. Other properties in the vicinity were slightly damaged.
