PALACE. “SNOWBLIND.” “Snowblind,” starring Pauline Starke, Russell Simpson and Cullen Landis at the Palace Theatre this week-end registers a new triumph for screen drama. “Snowblind” is a dramatic epic of the great northwest,' in which the central figure is a young actress, member of a troupe stranded in the snow country, who wanders off alone and loses the trail. Blinded by the unbearable flaming glare reflected in agonizing flashes from the snow, she falls, helpless, into the drift, and after a night of horror is rescued by a giant of a man with a twisted, scarred face. Then begins as strange and stirring a drama as the camera has ever recorded. An outing, a comedy and a gazette complete the bill. KOSY. "WET GOLD.” A gripping undersea romance which bristles with thrills from beginning to end is “Wet Gold,” starring at the Kosy Theatre. The plot of the story is the search for treasure at the bottom of_ the sea. . Submarine pirates , have committed the theft, and the treasure is located in an old wreck. Cromwell, the leading character, played by Ralph Ince, is one of the escaped victims of the pirates, and he conducts the search for the gold accompanied by the plucky Colonel Hamilton and the latter’s pretty daughter, Grace. Before the hero is triumphant in his quest, he is subjected to many hazards. In addition, there will be a comedy, the serial, and a special budget showing recent scenes of Smyrna and Turkey.
