(Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb, 28, At the band contest the BB Flat bass solo resulted;—Milne (Welingion Artillery) 96 points, 1; H. Maher (Auckland Artillery), D. Owen (New Plymouth) and C. S. Hansen (Woolston) all BSi, 2. There were eight competitors. B Flat bass,—C. Hansen, 96, 1; Wateri (New Plymouth) 70. These were the onlj competitors. G trombone solo.—G. Humphrey (Wanganui) 96, 1; L* Hardgrave (r\ew Ply* mouth) 91, 2; P Wansborough (Wanganui) and A. Handley (New Plymouth) 90, 3. There were seven comjietitors. Eb (soprano) cornet solo. —R. Whitwell (Nelson Garrison), 92 points, 1; E. P. Dunn (Woolston), 91 points, 2; G. Bergersen (Palmerston North), 90, 3. Also competed : J. B. Uoyd (First "Wellington), 37; J.
