AFFRAY AT MATAWHERO.
ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. (Per Press Association.) GISBORNE, Sept. 1. As a sequel to the stabbing affray at Matawhero on August 19 George Robert Monkhouse, aged GB, was charged at the Police Court this morning with having attempted to murder William Campbell. Accused was arrested this morning at the hospital, where he had been under treatment for his own injury. A remand to September sth was granted.
