BUILDING ACTIVITIES.
STATISTICS FOR AUGUST. Building permits for work of an estimated value of £11,227 were issued by the borough engineer, Palmerston North, during the month of August. Twelve permits were taken out for houses, representing £9537, the balance, £1690, being accounted for by alterations and additions to existing premises.
