Oliver Wendell Holmes used to say:— “Every new truth knocks the wind out of somebody.” rHE machine guns of erticism are never trained upon anything not ig enough to hit—Chiropractic is big nough. Chiropractic has grown, in 27 years, rom one man with a great inspiration i> 20,000 practitioners, and there isn’t ower enough in all the earth to keep ick people from using that which takes them well. TRUTH. The following extracts are taken from ;tters to “Truth,” July Bth issue, in eply to recent criticism “The growth of Chiropractic in America and other countries during the past few nothing short of marvellous. No doubt this was brought about largely by the splendid results obtained bv Chiropractic during the ’flu epidemic of 1918-19, when it was shown by the National Statistics that where the orthodox treatment was given there was one death in 16 cases treated, whereas under Chiropractic adjustments one death occurred in 886 cases. These astounding figures brought Chiropractic to the front, and since then it has spread at a great rate. At present there are over 20 States which lune laws regulating Chiropractic and placing it on the same looting as medicine. Four or five of these have provided this protection within the last year. Japan also has Chiropractic legislation, this being brought about since the Mikado’s daughter, who was given up to die by the medical profession, was completely restored by adjustments given by Mr Kawaguchi, who has since been created a Baronet.” tNOTIIEE TRUTH. This is the vital and paramount thing hat Chiropractic has done, can do, and ill do—bring about the restoration of ormal function, and co-ordination in he human body, and normal function HEALTH.
