MELBOURNE, July 7,
In the House of .Representatives the censure motion was defeated by 36 to 17. i\Jr Hughes, replying in a characteristic speech, accused tho Opposition of claiming credit for lire successful achievements ot the Government, though opposed them when the proposals were first mooted.— Press Association.
