Representatives from us tar south as Dunedm and as far north as Auckiund were in attendance, the strength of the meeting being iiO. A definite constitution was drawn up, the objects ot the association being to secure uniformity of rulings and interpretations relating to hockey; to give interpretations ot the laws of the game upon request of affiliated associations; to provide and classily referees lor appointment to representative matches and all matches under the jurisdiction of the New Zealand Hockey Association; to ensuro as fur as possible "that the various games arc played in accordance with the rules and regulations of the controlling association; and lo report any irregularities to the bodies concerned. It was decided that the N.Z.H.R.A. be afhltated lo the Now Zealand Hockey Association. 'lhe following remit from Manawatu Association was adopted: —"That it be a recommendation to hockey associations in towns where there is a Keferees' association, to admit a member of the latter body to a seat on the management committee of the former." This will certainly make for the better control ot the game.
