The. lirst fifteens of Te Aute College and Wanganui Collegiate School inel yesterday in their annual match at the Showgrounds, when after a clean, hard-fought game Ihe former team were victorious by the score of 19 points to eight. The game ivas well contested and provided a splendid exhibition of the Rugby code, the combination and passing of both teams being of a high order Al no stage of the game did Ihe inleresl of the 12.000 spectators wane and the keen desire of both teams to win was manifest throughout. Victory eventually went to To Ante after a splendid exposition of the game in which they thoroughly deserved their win, as on the day's play they were the better team.
