Owing to lamtly reasons Air J. I. Redward has resigned his position as masseur to the I’almer,ston North Hospital. Air V. Harman has, through the Palmerston North branch of_ the Denial Association. accepted the position of honorary dental surgeon to the Hospital Hoard. The director of the Dominion Museum, Dr J. A. Thomson, was prevented by illness from attending a meeting of the Hoard of Science and Art at Wellington yesterday. The Minister of Internal Affairs, who is president of the board, staled that Dr. Thomson’s health had recently improved. At a meeting of the Friendly Societies’ Dispensary Hoard last evening the vicepresident, Hro. F. 11. D" Ham, presiding, it was decided to place on record the- appreciation of the board of the services rendered to it bv Hro. A. J, Yont, of the Foresters’ Lodge," while a member of the board, and to tender him a smoke concert towards the end of tiie month.
