UNEMPLOYED SOLDIERS.
THOUSANDS DESTITUTE. COMPLAINTS MADE IN SYDNEY. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received May 17, 8.40 a.in. SYDNEY, May 17. The officials of the Returned Soldiers’ Association states that nearly a thousand returned soldiers are unable to find work and are literally on tho bread line in Sydney. At least another thousand in other parts of the State are practically destitute. The officials declare that the Government dole leaves them in the position of watching their children die of malnutrition or lack of medical necessities. They bitterly complain of the apathy of employers and tho Federal Government officials.—Press Association, GOVERNMENT RELIEF WORKS. Received May 17, 11.0 a.m. SYDNEY. May 17.
