HOLDING COMMONWEALTH BACK.

The Hull Chamber of Commerce tendered a bamniel to .Mr Banvell, Premier of South Ansirnlia. Mr Bar well, in tt .speech, referred to the Commonwealth Government running: lines of steamers. He said lie believed in private ownership and control, Government control was foredoomed to failure. Australia was passing through trying limes like England. The Australian working men were being led by Bolshevik extremists, who were responsible for the class hatred between capital and labour and the consequent unemployment, which was holding Australia hack. They must get down to a proper economic basis. What was wanted in Australia was lower wages.—A. and X.Z. cable.
