PERSONAL

The Rev. R. M. Rybjtrn, New Zealand director of the Welfare of Youth Committee of the Presbyterian Church, and Mrs Ryburn, of Christchurch, are leaving shortly for England. Mr L. Macintosh Ellis, Director of the State Forest Service, arrived in Palmerston North yesterday in order to pay a visit of inspection to the sand dunes experimental station at Rangitikei Heads. Mr Ellis will go on to the far north and make arrangements tor fire prevention at the ox tensive kauri forest which the Government owns there. Before returning to Wellington the Director of the Stale Forest Service will inspect the Slate forests in the Urewora Country. .
