The Defence Committee, reportin' yesterday to the House of Keprosenta tives on the petition of Patrick y Sullivan, of Palmerston North, who sought compensation tor wrongful arrests, recommended that the petition should be referred jo the Government “ for consideration.” . , j\l,. H K. Holland (Puller) objected to this report, tie argued that the case was clearly one in which the committee should have brought down a favourable report.
