PROBLEM OF EMPLOYMENT OF LABOUR. BETTER UNDERSTANDING EXPECTED. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Januarv .'il. 11.10 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 30. The appointment ol Lieutenant Hcssa Muddin. an Indian Commissioner officer, as a member of the Fiji delegation is regarded as an indication of the Indian Government's desire to discover whether Fiji affords any facilities for the settlement of Indian exservice men. It is hoped by the introduction of the higher and responsible class of Indian immigrant to lead to ,i better understanding between India and the Fijian colonists over the handling of problems connected with the employment of Indian labour. Much satisfaction is felt in India at the prospect of Mr Hughes conferring with the delegation.—A. and N.Z. cable.
