DISTURBANCES IN EGYPT.
PROPOSAL FOR A BOYCOTT. RUN ON THE BANKS. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received December 30, 9.15 a.in. LONDON, Dec. 23. The Daily Mail's correspondent', at Cairo says that it is reported in the Cairo press that Zaghlul has been placed on a warship at Suez and sent to an unknown destination, hut the report is not confirmed. A meeting of Egyptian, doctors passed a resolution protesting against the authorities’ treatment of Zaghlul and decided to boycott (Tie British and inculcate the population with the idea that a boycott is a sacred national duly. They decided to withdraw their deposits from the banks and to recommend others to do likewise. The military authorities have forbidden the hanks to pay certain people, including the Zaghlul agitators, iheir money. The Egyptians became alarmed, and a run on the banks resulted in large sums being withdrawn.— Lidled Service. r— , NEW CABINET TO BE FORMED. Received December 30, 8.45 a.m. CAIRO, Dec. 28.
