In, the cricket match Victoria in the first innings made 302. Gregory took 4 wickets for 71 and Punch 3 for 37. New South Wales in their second innings made 280 —Collins 111, Love 102. Ilartkopf took 5 wickets for 86 and McDonald 3 for 76, Collins and Love gave a fine exhibition, both scoring freely all round the wicket, the partnership adding 205. Frequent changes were made in the bowling without effect, but after Collins was dismissed the wickets fell quickly, the last eight realising only 52 runs.—Press Association. They were particularly severe on .Maytie, using strung language at times. _ the Victorian Association held a hurried special meeting at which they decided lo despatch special constables to tlio outer ground lo repress the evil.
