ANTI-SEMITIC RIOTS.
JEWISH DAIRYMAN ASSAULTED. BERLIN, August 9. Spasmodic anti-Semitic outbreaks are still occurring Boisterous crowds at Memmington beseiged the house of Rosenbaum, a Jewish dairyman, and demanded milk loi the whole town. When Rosenbaum dcdared that acting on Government instruc-tions-ho had sent the whole of hw stock to Nuronbnrg, the mob demanded a million marks for the poor, threatening him with the gallows. The Mayor vainly tried to reason with the crowd, whom the police were powerless to disperse. Eventually the police arrested the dairyman ip the interr>sts of his own safety. The demonstrators followed him to prison, hung cowbells round his neck, and kicked, struck and spat at him, with the result that ho reached prison half dead. , The, police had the greatest difficulty in saving his me.
