Adams, who died at Christchurch after a fall from Micky Free, was at one time a resident of Palmerston North, his mother having kept the Cafe do Paris Hotel. Ho was recognised here as a quiet, well-behaved young fellow, and a credit to his profession. . . Tommy Long, the erstwhile Wanganui trainer, is now located at Podding, and has All Cerise,and Released in his stable. Both horses pulled up badly at the recent Feilding meeting, and will require a spell. Miss Barrett has Idle Talk, Siberia- and a promising colt in work. It is reported that she is shifting her horses to 'lrentham shortly. . . A. Atwood has half-a-clozon hprsoa -m work on the* Feilding tracks, including Star Lady, which is going on well. If sho stands a'preparation—and she has every chance now that the tracks are soft—aim will win good races. . , It was reported to tho meeting of tno Masterton Racing Club on Saturday afternoon that the club bad made a loss ot £483 7s 6d in connection with its autumn meeting. . ~ , . .
