INDIAN AND CEYLON TEAS.
APPLICATION FOR PREFERENCE. DELHI, April 1. Regarding to representations made by the Indian and Ceylon -Tea Association in favour of asking the Australian Government to (rive preference to Indian and Ceylon teas, it is stated by tho Government that tho question of reciprocal treatmont of Australian goods involved tho whole question of the adherence of India' to tho scheme of Imperial preference. Iho representations will be considered by tup commission which will sit during the coming cold sermon. Tho Indian O.P veinnient is not at liberty to open negotiations with the Commonwealth.—Reuter.
