Shorter Entries but better prices wore the.'order of the day at our Mart Sato on Saturday. The. boisterous weather of Friday night and Saturday morning caused the entries to be much smaller than of late in both pigs and poultry, but those who braved the elements wore rewarded with good prices throughout. Wo also report good furniture sales during the week on account of Mr K. it. Saunders, Glen Oroua, and Mr J. Franklin, Woodville; the attendance at both sales was good and the demand keen. Thursday’s Mart Sale was also a good one. Following arc Saturday’s sales:— Weauers and slips to 445, stores to £3, boars £3 7s fid to £is 10s. Horses £ll 10s and £9 10s. Cockerels 9s 3d to 3Gs, bens 8s to 20s, turkey gobblers to 325, ducks 9s fid to 235. Sheep dog £4, sundries,- harness, furniture (new and second-hand), fruit and produce all met a very ready sale.
