AN ESCAPED NUN.

ARRESTED UNDER WARRANT.

Received August 10, 12.10 p.m. SYDNEY, August 10. There is much public interest in the case of Sister Ligouri, a nun who escaped from a convent at Wagga, and who was brought, to Sydney, where she took refuge in the house of a Congregational minister until arrested under a warrant issued at the instance of the Human Catholic Bishop of the Diocese, the information setting out that Bridget Partridge, otherwise Sister Ligouri, was a person deemed to bo insane and without sufficient means of support. Tlio Court remanded her for seven days to the reception house for expert medical observation. The Court was densely crowded, Protestant organisations taking a prominent part in the case.—(Press Associai tion.)
