HUNT MEETING AT WAIKANAE.
The Mauawatu Hunt took their pack down the line last week to Waikanae, where a gala week for the local enthusiasts was provided from Monday till Friday, some splendid sport, in hare and drag hunting being indulged in. Accommodation was provider! for the huntsmen and hounds at Mr 11. D. Buchanan’s homestead, and the visitors were also entertained during the week by Mr and Mrs A. J. Robinson and .Miami Mrs Howell. A large number of spectators enjoyed the fun, and the “fencing,” especially in the. hare hunting, was good. A return visit, from (he Waikanae enthusiasts is eagerly anticipated. Properties limited over were those of Messrs A. J. Robinson. A, A. Milner, 11. D, Buchanan. T, A. Cameron, P. A. Howell, (-drawbridge Bros., ami W. Potts.
