ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
While Mr 0. Russell was working in a pit at Kimliolton a fall of metal took place ami one of his legs was broken, necessitati„u- his removal to the Palmerston North Hospital. , The bursting of a boiler-tube in the e i'"inerooin of the steamer lahiti at Auekbiml on Friday resulted in two engineers sustaining scalds which necessitated then removal to the hospital. The injured men were Messrs A. J. Penny, aged 22, and 11. F. Smith, aged 28. Penny was badly scalded on the head and shoulders. Smith being scalded less severely on one side, ins face, and his shoulders. . A man named Oorgc MuTm, aged bd, was knocked down by a bicycle at Auckland, and died in the Hospital from concussion and shock. Deceased was a resident of Ponsonby. Tjt Press Association.') DUNEDIN. July 12 John Farglson Robinson, aged 50, single. 1 r-siding with his father at Wa.lepeka. was found dead this morning in his bedroom. The body was lying m ft pool of blood, with bullet wound in the forehead, r.ml a discharged rifle by bis side.
