We had a fair entry of both sheep and cattle, which met it ready sale at the increased market rates. Following «rc quotations:—Small hoggets 13s 3d to 15s 6.1. good hoggets 22s Id to 25s 3d. good mixed 2-tooths 31s. empty ewes 15s. forward empty ewes 29s 6d. fat ewes 335, e_wes R.S.W.D. rams £2 Os 6d. fat cows £ll 2s 6d yearling heifers £6 10s, 2-year empty heifers £7 2s 6<l to £3 8s 6d. _ Jersey springing heifers, on account S. R. Lancaster sold rea'dilv at prices as under: 2-year-old £lO. £l6, £l6 5s to £lB, 3-year-ol'd £l6, £23 10s, £25 10s to £26, cows to £24 10s.
