ST. PAUL’S METHDOIST CHURCH.

QUARTERLY MEETING

The Rev. G. S. Cook presided over the quarterly meeting of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Broad street, hold on Wednesday evening. The chairman in his report stated that the services were being continued at lliwinui, and Mr Cbowen had been appointed society steward at Aokautere. An increase of thirty in the membership of St. Paul’s had boon experienced last year. The good work of Sister Constance was evident by the increase in tlio attendance at the Sunday School. Their financial position was very satisfactory, the income from all sources amounting to £251 for this quarter. A mooting of tho transit committee was to be bold at an. early date to consider a method by which the difficulties of travelling to distant appointments could best lie surmounted. A motion of condolence was passed to Mrs Eglinton, senr., and family, in their recent bereavement. Tho Foreign Mission secretary reported that the amount collected from Sv. Paul’s for mission work amounted to approxbm ately £7fl. A comprehensive report was also received from the secretary of the Sunday School.
