TIMARI), July 9. • As the result, of a collision between a motor car and motor cycle with a. side chair, William Hansen, of Pnraeora, was badly col about the face and ieg, and Mrs Hansen sustained a fracture of (he lefr lop and a broken right ankle, Mid their infant daughter sustained injuries from which she died later. TA 111 A PE, July 8. An elderly and respected Taihape resident, Mr Walter Swinburne, an accountant, was fqund dead in bis house to-day. Not having been seen for several days, the place was searched, and he was found in his night clothes lying on the slats of an iron bedstead, and no clothes above or below him, DUNEDIN, July 8. A boy, two years of age, named Henry Rollo Floury, who was staying with friends of Ids parents, was run over by a horse and cart at C'uvershum this afternoon. He was sent to the hospital without delay, but died before reaching the institution.
