Saltpetre . aboard die liner _ Engineer hound for the Mauritius ignited in Lorenzo Marques harbour. As flu cargo also included carbide the vessel was lowed mto midstream where, after a temhe explosion, she sank. There were no fatalities.-(A. and N.Z. cable).
