A LADY'S DISCOVERY. A NEW RECIPE FOR BISCUITS. A well-known Auckland business man uf lates the following little episode which actually occurred in his own home:— Dux* ing the. holidays the family were having? afternoon tea with some lady visitors, and among the eatables provided was a plate of home-made biscuits. After sampling these biscuits the business man said to his wife: "Amy, dear, what a delightful flavour you have managed to get into these biscuits. I have been trying to imagine how you got it." "An accidental discovery,'* said the hostess. "You would nover guess." "Oh, do tell us," chorused the ladies. "Well. I thought I would try; an experiment, and I added a spoonful o£ Tucker's Custard Powder to my usual recipe. That is all." In response to further pleadings the lady wrote out the recipo for her friends. Ileie it is:—Two cupful* of rolled oats, 1 cupful of sugar, ilb. but* tor, 1 tcaspoonful of Tucker's "Family"'' Baking Powder, 1 tablnsponfu] of Tucker's "Sunshine" Almond Custard Powder, I tablespoiiful of flour, end 1 egg. Bake on greased tray. A largo tin of Tucker's "Sunshine" Custard Powder costs a little more than other brands, but it contains more, and is very much better value.
