FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
The half-yearly meeting of tho Orona Lodge of Druids was held last night. l>ro. S. E. Lloyd, A.1)., presiding over a fair attendance. Three candidates for membership were nominated, and one member joined by clearance. CM- | cers for the ensuing half-year were elected, and were subsequently installed ly lire. R. W. Ony, D.P., of Tokoirarn, assisted by P.P.D.’s Bros. Pycroft and Stewart. The officers are as follows:—A.D., Bro. F. G. Pycroft; J.P.A., Bro. S, 10. Lloyd; V.A., Bro. S. Avery; treasurer, Bro. T. E. Mitebell; 1.C1.. Bro. A. 11. Bowden; OS., Brp. if. Bennett; M.S., Bro. A. Cooksley; bards, Bros. Alathie, Austin, Butcher and Marco. It was decided that the Orient Lodge he challenged to a shooting match. At the conclusion of the business the visiting brethren were j entertained at supper.
