RAILWAY GRIEVANCES.
HANK NOTES AND OVERDUE i LRAV^-kV The local bratlcli of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants held their regular meeting yesterday afternoon. Members expressed dissatisfaction at tee state a number of bank notes received by them as wages last Friday, and it was unanimously agreed to draw the attention of the General Manager of the Departmqnt to the matter on the first available opportunity. It was further decided Unit all members of the Society be requested to refuse payment with such notes. The matter of holiday leave was also discussed, and much comment was made on the refusal to grant leave long; overdue. It was stated that some members leave was due since last September. Alter a good deal of discussion it was decided to bring the- matter, under the notice of the Dominion Executive, who in turn would he requested to refer it to the Minister of Railways, requesting that at least an honest attempt bo made bv him to remedy the difficulty.
