ESCAPED PRISONER.

(Peb Pbesb Association.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 11. William Frederick Murray, alias Jacksou, alias Stanbrook, a, steward and seaman, whc was serving a sentence for tbeft, escaped from the Alt. Eden gaol on Saturday afternoon, presumably by scaling the wall. Murray entered a l-.ouse, where lie purloined a suit of civilian clothes, leaving his prison attire ia exchange. He has not been seen since. . Murray had been declared an habitual criminal.
