THE HEMP MARKET. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 12. The Department of Agriculture, ludustrics and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand dated Loudon, January 10: Hemp.—Manila continues in active demand. The market is steady at previous quotations. Current prices for “J” grade, Septombor-November shipment and Octobor-Decembor shipment, £6O 10s; Jan-uary-March shipment and February-April shipment, £6l. The Now Zealand market is steady but quiet. High-points on spot sold at £55; fair, £49 to £sl. Present quotations are: Spot, high-points, £56: fair, £sl. Sellers of January-March shipments ask £53 and £4B respectively.
