Mr Arthur Pickering has returned to Palmerston North from a trip to Rotorua much benefited in health. , Mrs A. J. Palmer and Miss Rose Palmer; are staving for a few weeks at the Spa, Taupo, . . , Mr E Wood, cf Milson’s line, was seized early this morning with an aggravated form of a complaint which has kept him ailing for some little time past. He was removed to a private hospital where his condition is reported to be such as not to cause anv serious anxiety to ms friends. As chairman of the Manawatu Land Drainage Hoard Ida presence was missed from a meeting of that body this morning. Before commencing business the acting-chairman, Mr A Lancaster, called the attention of the Board to the matter and on bis motion a resolution expressing members’ sympathy and well wishes for qn immediate recovery was passed. _________
