TROOPS IN ALEXANDRIA.
OFFICER UNDER NATIVE ROBES
LONDON, Nov. 23. Reuter’s correspondent at Alexandria, writing on November 18, stated that troops tad been posted at commanding points, and armoured cars and cavalry were patrolling the town. Everything was quiet. The entry , of the troops was welcomed by tho Europeans. . i , , An innovation was made at 'the demonstrations to-day, when small girls walked in front of the bier at a funeral of a man who was killed in the disturbances. Boys formed the vanguard and r6 \vfien the mob last night searched tramcars for officers and soldiers, an officer escaped by being hidden by respectable natives under their robes.
