THE MILTON POSTAL ROBBERY.

(Per Press Association.) OAMARU, May 2.

The perpetrator of the bank robbery at Milton on the 30th inst. has been arrested here by Constable Palmer to-day. He is Victor Keon, a horse trainer, of Milton. News of the robbery was received here at 9 a.m., and the arrest was mado at noon. Ono of the £lO notes had been cashed at tlio railway station yesterday evening. Another attempt at negotiation to-duy was intercepted bv tlio constable, who made tho arrest, before it had reached the bank, but the- note had already been passed through three hands. Keen arrived in Oamaru by tlio late train last night and ho cashed a £lO note with a carrier, and this led to his arrest. The constable has recovered £396 of the missing money.
