FEILDING J.C. MEETING. CUP WON BY PARAOA FLYING, WAIMATAO. Tho ((fist clay's racing of tho Fctlding Jockey Club's Easter meeting wax disposed of yesterday in fine though windy wcatner before a record crowd. All tho tpeei.il trains were uncomfortably packed. Some keenly contested races were witnessed. Mr J. K. Henrys, the weight adjuster, hud backers baffled, as not a solitary favourite won. Mr J. Cameron ofiieiated as judge for tho first, time, and notwithstanding that ho had some close finishes to decide, hoisted tho numbers quickly and accurately to'Twc satisfaction of everybody. With the exception of two races, Mr Angus Keith dispatched his fields well. The meeting was managed excellently, and those responsible are to bo congratulated. Money was plentiful, the sum of £44,199 being put through the 'machine, an increase- over last year's figures. Chief stipendiary McMahon had occasion to fine M. McDonald £5 for breaking an engagement to ride Master Moutoa, and W. Bell a similar amount for crossing tho field in the Onepuhi Hack race. Results: -

Sweet Tipporary made the pace torrid from the start, followed by Royal Park. Passing the stand the first time the former led from Sir Fisher and Royal Park, with Master Lupin and Want handy. Along tho back Sweet Tipporary led by several lengths. At the straight entrance Master Lupin and Want endeavoured to reduce the gap, bub had no chancce with the winner, who won very easily. Master Lupin two lengths in front of Want; tie n came Sir Fisher, Diavolo, Lloyal Park ai.d Gunwale. Swinton fell at the second .obstacle and broke his neck, his rider (W. Rounding the home turn Paraoa took charge, and going on stalled off all challengers and won by halt a length from Master Moutoa, Nobleman a length away, third.
